COMPONENT COMPOSITION OF ESSENTIAL OIL AND ANTIOXIDANT ACTIVITY OF POTAMOGETON PERFO-LIATUS L. (POTAMOGETONACEAE) GROWING IN THE ASTRAKHAN REGION

For the first time, component composition of low-molecular-weight metabolome perfoliate pondweed (Potamogeton perfoliatus L., family Potamogetonaceae), which grows in Astrakhan region (lower zone Volga river delta), has been investigated. Low molecular weight organic compounds (LMWOCs) essential oil were obtained from dried plants by steam hydrodistillation using Clevenger apparatus. The qualitative and quantitative compositions LMWOCs investigated gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC/MS complex TRACE ISQ (Thermo Scientific) with a quadrupole mass analyzer). low P. contained 164 components, 151 identified. Major carboxylic acids – tetradecanoic (69.7%) hexadecanoic (10.1%), as well phytol (3.4%) phyton (1.4%), characterized diverse biological activities. antioxidant activity an aqueous-alcoholic extract was photometric method based on reaction DPPH (2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl) dissolved ethanol sample. It shown that more pronounced properties than tested drugs (ascorbic acid emoxipine). lower River delta can be considered naturally renewable resource for obtaining raw materials creating effective composites new generation algicides to combat cyanobacterial "bloom", valuable natural forms plant origin various types application pharmacology, medicine, cosmetology, food industry, other industries.
